How do the LED grow lights affect the growth of plant
For the choice of parameters of LED grow light, including the selection of the ratio of red and blue, the intensity of the light source and the power selection options.
3.1 red LED and blue LED proportional selection
For the LED grow light demanding on the red and blue, chromatography proportion of red and blue light emitted by LED grow lights is generally preferably between 5:1 and 10:1, 7 to 9:1 is typically optional ratio. Of course, red and blue light different plants need will be different, and the choice of different red LED and blue LED is not the same, so how to choose the optimal ratio should be based on the type of plant and the performance of the LED grow lights.
Figure 1 Different proportions of red and blue LED make different effect on the growth of plant
FIG 5 is a a group experiment Taiwan mechanism used different proportions of red and blue LED to conduct, which show that the resultant vegetable growing is best and heaviest compared with other vegetables when the ratio of red / blue LED is 90/10.
The text cited literature data to further analyze the effect red and blue light make on plants so that better illustrate that red and blue light affect plant growth, shown in Figure 2, Figure 3 and Figure 4.
Figure 2 blue light affect the root growth of plants
Figure 3 red light affect the growth of plant stems
Figure 4 red light affect the growth of plant stems
Figure 2 shows that the lack of blue light is unfavorable to the development of the plant roots.
Figure 3 and Figure 4 shows that red light especially infrared light is conducive to plant stem elongation, but the stem of plants is relatively thin when there is infrared light.Browsing http://www.lead-ledgrowlight.com/ for more information about LED grow lights.
