First, Japan LED lighting certification standards

According to Tesco News survey, there is still no official safety standards and certification of LED lighting product especially commercial LED lighting including high power LED flood lightand in Japan. Japan Electric Lamp Manufacturers Association prepared the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) raw data on the safety specifications of high power LED flood light and other commercial and industrial LED lamps, but it will be approved until next year. Currently, the low price of LED lights occupied the entire market, the introduction of a standard LED lighting is imminent, and foreign companies can refer to the following two certification standards to enter the Japanese market,

1, JIS Certificate (Japanese Industrial Standard) JIS certification is recognized, voluntary standard formulated by the state based on industry standards law. The measurement methods for JIS certification standards need to check model, size, function and other aspects of product safety. The LED lighting product can not be successfully put into the Japanese market unless the quality meets quality assurance, of JIS standards. There are currently 12 countries accepting the JIS certification standards in overseas markets: South Korea, North Korea, China Taiwan, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, India and Mexico.

     

2, PSE

PSE certification is a mandatory safety certification. There are two types of PSE certification mark: PSE Diamond certification mark (compulsory certification) is used to specify the product, PSE Circle certification mark (voluntary certification) is used for non-specified product certification. This certification is launched for Japan manufacturer or importer, rather than foreign manufacturers, so this certification is very strict in Japan and has a high reputation.
