“Batteries Plus LLC”，a U.S. battery and bulb dealer，announced the acquisition of British retailer specializing in LED lighting fixture especially indoor LED ceiling light and other household and commercial LED lamps named “LED Hut” on September 8, 2014. The press released by LED Hut stated that the agreement is merger to 1,800 million pounds (about 178 million yuan RMB).

LED Hut was founded by Internet entrepreneur Jonathan Ruff on April 2011. The company grew to 60 colleagues in a short span of three years from the original five, the turnover growth is 550 percent, rapidly developing as a leading Internet retailer of LED lighting fixtures especially household LED lighting including indoor LED ceiling light in Britain. LED Hut is specializing in LED lighting field, providing the indoor LED ceiling light and other household and commercial  LED lamps with high quality, competitive prices，as well as fast and reliable delivery service.

Batteries Plus LLC said in a statement that this acquisition will help the company to further expand the market share of indoor LED ceiling light and other indoor and outdoor LED lighting. Russ Reynolds，CEO of Batteries Plus Bulbs, said LED Hut is the UK leader in Internet retailer, and also continues to expand in pan-European market. Through the LED Hut’s professional experience in Internet sales can help the company grow more quickly in the United States to achieve the vision of the whole pathway.

Jonathan Ruff also pointed out the first flagship store LED Hut opened a few days ago in the United Kingdom Jersey was a great success， the retail store Batteries Plus Bulbs LED Hut has opened help to promote the plan that 40 or more stores will be opened in the UK.
