Having been introduced，intelligent LED street light has been enjoying a great popularity in the lighting market, and now many cities around the world are eager to prepare large-scale use smart LED street light system in urban. New Zealand capital Wellington in the near future plans to become the first city using intelligent LED street light system in southern hemisphere. The city plans to replace all of the city’s municipal streetlight excluding the CBD area with intelligent LED street light, the total number of the streetlight to be replaced is approximately 18,000. These LED street lights can automatically reduce the brightness when nobody passes, while the streetlights in CBD area usually lights up throughout the night, and therefore there is not urgency and necessity to carry out the replacement of street lamp.

In Europe, the Copenhagen city of  Denmark  is also test the intelligent LED street lights which would be used in the city through the establishment of a common garden. In September the city will built a the test zone called “Danish Outdoor Lighting Laboratory” (DOLL) on the outskirts of Albert Sloan area where a number of the company’s intelligent outdoor lighting products will be tested. Many members of the public will also be invited to participate in the pilot test. Copenhagen city plans to achieve “carbon balance” in 2025, this experiment park established is one of the efforts to achieve this goal.

We can say that street light is an important part of urban lighting. The traditional streetlights are high pressure sodium lights, the pressure sodium lamp with low overall efficiency caused a huge waste of energy, therefore, the development of new urban energy saving and environmentally friendly street lighting with high efficiency, long lifespan, high color rendering index has a very important significance. In recent years, LED street lights is enjoying a great popularity in the world especially in China, the market scale has been expanded.

In addition to the road outside lighting, LED outdoor lighting is also widely used in urban landscapes, tunnels and so on. In fact, as we have been pursuing energy conservation and environmental protection, and intelligent lighting, there are dramatically changes in lamps, light, material, style and design ways.

China’s large population and rapid urbanization development attribute to the quite fast road construction, which has a significantly demand for LED street lights and LED landscape lighting and other outdoor lighting. According to authoritative survey shows that the growth rate of China outdoor lighting industry is more than 40 percent per year, the output value is expected to exceed $ 3.5 billion in 2014, it is expected to reach $ 4.7 billion in 2015.

Huang Weigang，Mayor of Monterey Park City published the municipal report of 2014 and future municipal planning. Monterey Park ( commonly referred to as the Mongolian Chinese American city) is a small city in Los Angeles County, California, located in the east of Los Angeles, on the foot of King Hills of the San Gabriel Valley. Huang Weigang said the city has just agreed with recently that all of the household water meter in the city will be updated within a year, while the city’s public street lights will be replaced with the LED street lights within two years, which is not only to save electricity, but to improve the lighting function. In the near future the city will usher in two large shopping centers, three hotels.

He said the city through municipal transparency is to allow the residents to know and oversight of the city’s each policy, and encourage people to actively provide suggestions and advice to help more perfect urban construction. Today Monterey Park City has installed giant screen in the city hall of municipal government, scrolling to play ongoing projects and future planning of the city at this stage. With the joint efforts of us， we eagerly expect that the Mongolian city can continue to develop  so that every citizen to enjoy a comfortable life.
